GETTING HERE

Find your way to the château

The château sits between three major airports — Toulouse, Bordeaux, and Bergerac — with routes from Toulouse and Bordeaux mostly motorway to Agen, then beautiful country roads to Laugnac. The Bergerac route is all country roads throughout.

By Air

Toulouse (TLS): served by British Airways (Heathrow), easyJet, and Ryanair (Stansted).

Bordeaux (BOD): served by British Airways (Gatwick), easyJet, and Ryanair (Stansted).

Bergerac (EGC): served by Ryanair (Stansted).

Car hire is typically more competitive at Toulouse and Bordeaux than at Bergerac or Agen.

By Train / TGV

The château is also reachable by train — take the airport bus to the train station (Toulouse Matabiau or Bordeaux St-Jean), then the TER train to Agen (~2h total). From Agen station, take a taxi or hire a car - it takes around 20 minutes to reach the château.

Arriving from Paris

We recommend taking the TGV from Gare Montparnasse to Agen (3.5h via Bordeaux), then hire a car from Gare d’Agen for the duration of your stay. The train runs high speed at 300km/h directly to Bordeaux, then slower to Agen. One might like to use this opportunity to visit Bordeaux, then simply hire a car from the city (1.5h drive to château). Visit the SNCF website to book tickets in advance.

Driving from the UK

A Crit'Air sticker is required for driving in French cities — it costs a few euros but must be posted to a UK address, so apply well ahead of your trip. Make sure your car also carries the required emergency equipment in case you're stopped by police.
